Wonderful. The only thing I hate is the white around it,disturbes the whole scene and makes it difficult to see everything
I actually don´t like the white parts around the piece but besides that this is just wonderful!
Pixel art at its absolute finest. 5 star and fav'd.
One crit though: not too fond of the glowing, flakey white stuff around the edges, seems unecessary and distracting to the awesomeness of the actual content.
Wow i really wasnt expecting that from the preview image. I think the white around the image is distracting. I think it would be more powerful without it.
Perspective issues and minor niggling aside, this is a monumental piece of work, and I applaud your dedication to completing a piece at this size! Great depth and rendering, and a solid sense of cohesiveness.
just an info noone already dared ask you: how much time did it take?
You freaky... It`s great!
Despite the minors perspective errors your shading is awesome.
Wow o.o prespective errors or not, its still such an impressive piece! how long did this monster take you? xD
Holy hell, those trees are wicked. I like that griffon too!
The bottom looks the best to me, it looks like nature is slowly starting to reclaim the structure.
It's nice but I like the areas with the trees and gray rocks more than the rest mostly due to their more interesting colors. I would at least prefer more of that in the top half of the image too, just to even things out a bit.
the only thing I dont like is the white around the image, I think it would be better with just a transparent background, but its really great.
Sorry for the background color, i'm still working for every projects with this pink color that we use generaly for sprites& tiles transparency, for info, this not the splash sceen for pro motion, it replace the old windows about box in the software......thanks for all your comments :)
Looks interesting
It's probably the new screen for it lol
What the hell. Another incredible pixel artwork from you. Grat amount of detail, great style and nice selection of colors.
well you could also post an image different to the one you will use, and make your viewers happier :) or not?
I know in some C++ libraries you can specify your own transparent color such as in SDL. I believe that particular magenta has become the standard just because it's so harsh and no one would want to use it in their software graphics anyway..lol I'm no expert though. I do know lot of sprite sheets found online will have this magenta as a background.
But yes, freebasic is an open source compiler. It is fully compiled though unlike an interpreted basic. It's almost as fast as c++ but with the ease of basic.
Oh, and you mean it would be hard to input an image with a different bg color. Yes that would be indeed, but only in those high level program languages such as indeed basic (I suppose you mean basic as freebasic is just the name of an open source compiler).
Lollige, Sometimes I think more in terms of programming when it comes to transparency. I use a language called freebasic and to use the built in graphics library and to have my sprites, graphics, etc have a transparent background, the background color has to be that deep magenta.
I'm not sure what you mean by "what's the point of that". Sure, there's no point in that here at PJ, but in graphic software, games, etc...that's a major point. And I'm sure that's the only reason this peice has this magenta background.
Pro motion is an image creation program. You can google it.
Also, Dpixel, I still do not understand what you mean. Yes it is often used for transparancy, but whats the point with that? But I am glad you at least understand what I meant :)
Sure this is pixel art? May I see some WIPs? What Pro Motion means?
Cause this is truely amazing!
I meant transparency for software. Magenta rgb(255,0,255) is a standard 32 bit transparency color. I completely forgot about iaza though. My mistake. Yes. One click. lol
Time consuming? I am not sure how you make backgrounds transparent Dpixel, but for me that would be one click on the purple and its gone...
Great work! I love the greenery on the stone.
I'm sure the background is for transparency. It looks time consuming to change it, so I don't blame ya. Unless you have some color replacer.
Its wonderful stuff, but could you please remove the horrible magenta?
I like this much more than your other workes, its not so flooded! However, you have used really a lot of colors.
This is amazing. I think it would be better without the bright pink background though (which I assume was an accident?).
Simply brilliant!
