all I used was the pencil tool, dropper, and bucket, nothing else. Everthing here is done on purpose. My intention is really not to be perfect. Everything you see was carefully placed.
You kinda get what pixelart looks like but you don't understand what makes pixelart just yet.
Pixelart is all about precision and careful pixel placement. No tools are ever used, like spraypaint or dodge tools or anything but the pencil tool and simple tools like the bucket.
The clouds on this and the tombstone are more Oekaki (pixelart's slutty cousin). Some parts are more in line with pixelart. Check the forum resources and the links page for more help on details.
Reduced previews like you have here are also not cool. Think pixelart, pixels at 100% (1X), opaque and pixelly :)
Everything as in every element, but pixelart goes beyond that, and calls for each individual pixel to have careful placement. Which is not to say that you must literally place them 1-by-1, but that you must have thought and purpose behind the placement of each of them. If you don't follow this guideline, then it veers into that hazy oekaki area that isn't quite pixel art.
