Screw the extra detail, the simplicity of it all gives it a very smooth and fresh look! I love it. It's peaceful yet ominous at the same time.

Lacoste (Level 1 Rookie) @ 4/28/2009 14:03

love it ^^

nice idea.

Tuna Unleashed (Level 4 Mercenary) @ 4/27/2009 17:37

I still prefer the original pallet but this is still an excellent piece

dragonzrule (Level 1 Rookie) @ 4/27/2009 15:49

Its good, but it reminds me a lot of the Aida Concept album cover:

BlackDragon (Level 11 Godfather) @ 4/26/2009 14:57

I like it, I like it a lot, but I think you could have done a little more with it. Especially the trees.

blueleds (Level 1 Rookie) @ 4/26/2009 14:14

Wow, it feels so peaceful... and yet scary?

d-p (Level 11 Psychopath) @ 4/26/2009 02:25

Thats really an impressive one. The light effect is great. And I agree that some more detail to the trees an the grass (on the front) would  make it even more kicking.

fawful (Level 6 Yonkyu) @ 4/25/2009 16:22

Just lovely.

Chapelier Toque (Level 1 Rookie) @ 4/25/2009 07:03

the contrast between brightness of the sun and the darkness of the forest is so extreme ! the flash of light is hypnotic. i like that.

maybe the "hypnose effect" wasn't intentional, anyway, it's superb ! Bravo !

skooba-dude (Level 8 Guerrilla) @ 4/24/2009 19:58

and that's how it's done. This really stands out as a peice of art it is so well done. KUTGW.

thanks for the comments.

maybe I will come back later on thise piece and test some more detailed trees here.

nice fav/comment-ratio btw :D

DJD (Level 4 Button Man) @ 4/21/2009 20:01

Honestly I think everything is superb besides the flatness of the trees. The lighting in this piece exceeds the expectations I would even expect from Lawrence, and if the flatness of the trees could be corrected without losing the mystic nature of the piece I would undoubteldly hang this on my wall.

Mathias (Level 6 Garbage) @ 4/21/2009 09:42

Hmmm, I second that. Some subtle polish for the trees, just like the coulds have would make a lot of sense. The grass could probably slide, it does have some texture due to the dither style used.

Nice result.

Christoballs (Level 6 Saber-toothed Tiger) @ 4/21/2009 09:30

Very nice, but I'd like to see more texture for the grass and bark. I really like the effects on the sides though, but that clashes with the grass in the centre.
