Haha, it's impossible to see a hummingbird's wings as it flies, they flap at a begillion times a second, you need a clever motion blurred anim for the wings.
A much better concept would've been to have the beak in a big ornatie lookin's flower with the motion blurred wings flappin' with the bobbing up and down movement like you've got, but make the head hold steady like real hummingbirds do. Actually, they don't bob up and down either, they have full control over themselves. Make a small scene out of this.
Only excuse for this animation is that it's a slo-mo shot . . . but it's not.
Nice, but I think the tail and the body could also be animated. And maybe you could have used less colors. But other than that its good.
The only thing I like about this is the combination of colors (not the actual ones chosen, sorry), that is green and pink, for this bird, and the actual type of bird chosen.
The outlines are quite harsh or even unnecessary in some places. I.E. the wings, and the tail.
You really should animate the tail, too. The wings aren't perfect, but the non-tail animation seems to be the biggest problem right now. Birds just don't fly like that. Or even if you don't animate it, at least move it up so it is aligned with the body. You might want to consider tilting the head up, as well. This way it all flows nicely.
And I'm not quite sure what the brown part under it's tail is. Are those it's curled up feet? I sure hope so.
Oooooo I love this.
