Phew, finally done, what a lot of work..
The picture is inspired by the famous "American Gothic" (monstergirl.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/american-gothic-large4.jpg) and is my first attempt at tall pixels.
^very disturbing, I love it, so fav!
Oooh, that's sweet of you :)
this one should have to be in 2nd place! or even 1st!
Congratulation for the #3 place
That looks like Ptoing!
i like it... best entry so far (aside from mine ;D) i think u did great on the textures.... but i also think it looks stretched, maybe u should make the roof wider (like original) ... the anatomy looks correct, indeed... i dont rly like pauls face, the nose looks kinda bulky, also i think the sky could use some gradient like in the original...
anyway... very good job
its pretty good, and the idea is funny, but like stickytape said it does looked kind of stretched. Halving the height makes it look squashed though, probibly 75% of the height looks about how it should. Anyways, good job.
I totally understand what you say, but I tried my best to make it look normal. If you halve the height, it might not look stretched anymore, but the anatomy is totally wrong. Thanks nonetheless
I think you may have gotten the point of tall pixels backwards. The image should look squished and distorted if you reduced it to 50% height, but normal when stretched to double that size (the tall version). Yours is stretched to be distorted when viewed as tall pixels, but when I squished your image in my graphic software, it looked normal in regular pixel mode.
The challenge of tall pixels is making something that looks normal when stretched.
Besides that, love the idea, and you executed it rather nicely. But your nice rendering skills in this picture is all lost on me because of the distortion.
