-UPDATE- 8/4/09 - Added bigger image.

This is Geovonni Maximus, my first conceptualized character among others... since middle school. A "Megaman-ing" sprite, using 5 colors from an NES palette.

In the conceptualized story Bions, Geovonni Maximus is the primary protagonist of the storyline.

Geovonni was born among the hierarchal class of bions, but how he came into existence is unknown. His primary purpose is to overthrow the evil that has plagued the world in which bions live in and rid of networks or organizations that oppose the hierarchal law.

As strong and determined as he is, Geovonni is mainly viewed by many as a low-class soldier, mainly by his appearance.

@Plaque - Thanks. This guy has some inspiration from Samus in a way.

Here's the link to the NES palette. It's the one I mainly use.

The NES palette, that is.

Very nice. I love the detail. Kind of reminds me of Metroid.

Would you mind posting a link to the palette?

@Blackbeltdude - Thanks. I won't be doing an animation anytime soon of this guy, but the green is part of the armor. That was well intended.

Anywho, the zoom is just my generous doing of keeping everyone from squinting.

Man, I really dig this.

I've tried making something that's a mech/robot at a very similar scale with such detail, and it's really a pain in the ass to do. This looks pretty damn cool.

I'm not sure everything is too readable at it's normal size though, which is an issue you've got to take into consideration if you ever plan on having the guy move. I would say it's mainly the green details on his body (they're fine on the head). I would suggest simplifying those spots a bit, simply because that's the area where the most motion would take place.

Still, I do dig looking at this thing zoomed in a bit. ;)
