 The compressed version stinks.

The pixel work is nice and you've definitely captured the guy, but whether or not it really fits in with the definition of a caricature is whole other thing. The background really upstages the guy and I think you should further attempt to exaggerate, which caricature calls for.

Also, for obvious reasons everything inevitably comes off as being "compressed". What I would do is still present the image in wide pixels, but crop half of it, then link to the 'real' version, like you are already doing. This would help to solve both problems; firstly, he won't look so compressed anymore and secondly, it would place more of the focus on the guy.

To be honest, currently it looks just like some lakeside scene with a random guy calmly reclining nearby.
