yeah ... agree .. originally i did this in c64 colors, but i liked this version more...
Too chaotic for my taste.
Im not sure if there was a limit for palete, but to make this work (as a game or just an image) you would either have to remove objects or add different colors-contrasts to them to make clear whats what I guess.
I could take it... maybe =P like it.. nice job pulling it off w/ 4 colors o_O
Awesome!!!
EDIT: Although I dislike the final boss's zombie's color scheme (tones of green would've looked better), the boss itself is incredibly impressive.
That looks insane and cool at the same time. Extra kudos for the C64 pallete and wide pixels:)
i like the peice but i prefer the coloras on the one from the avatar.
yes the gameboy colours really made it for me, i'd say they even look funkier.
the problem with reading it i think its mainly because you have that purple drop over the main edge of the composition, and its really heavy to the eye, and then you have that same colour in the bg at the left. which pops out a lot. Look at the 4 color image, that character in the bg its way darker, thats why its easier to read.
Wow, onek! There's life oozing from this one! I like it a lot. Everything is well crafted of fun with imagination.
I agree with others - C64 version is much more readable. It's because boss, BG and player all have different colours. And color version looks more 'funky'.
Edit: now it has my vote.
has someone already mentioned that that c64 version is much more readable? no? it is!
other than that: great piece.
Yeah, I agree with Manu, the C64 one is a lot better =| Your last 10 images have been c64, why Gameboy colours all of a sudden? Although the idea of gameboy widepixels is kinda awesome.
Anyway, I love the enemies. This would definitely make for one crazy-ass game :o
This is so cool!
The c64 version is way more readable, in fact... and way nicer!
mmm, this piece is so amazing
