Beautiful!
If you hadn't mentionned the character though, I wouldn't have seen them (haha).
Yeah, I have to agree with you. I don't understand everyone's obsession with selout. It does NOT make everything look better. To me, pics that go through a selout phase often look worse, because it seems to exaggerate jaggies. Also, the edit that he did below was less selout and more of a lighter recolor of the outline. If JUST the selout technique was used, I bet it would just look more chopppy.
Anyway, I really liked this piece :D Nice work
Although very simple and scetchy, this is actually pretty great.
it looks really nice, i like it, just dont know where are the 10 colors :O. I want to see moar :DDD
ok, the way it looks now theres nothing to complain. if ur going for a comicish look ,outlines are must, with the aa it looks fine, but before it was to rough and sketchy
I AA'd the linework. Sorry, but I didn't really like the look of reducing the linework at all. I like the way it looks with nice bold linework (if you look at my digital painting work you'll most likely find parallels). I cleaned up the background a bit, basically just that mid colour, but at the same time I like the messy look to it, hehe, when I want to do something refined it'll be refined but this particular case is perhaps not one of those. Thank you for the help however and I'll definitely consider those things when doing some more down the track, thank you :)
selective outlining... take a look at THIS
heres a quick edit
Selout? Sellout? Can't say I'm familier with that one...
cool^^ i like it, but think it could need some cleaning here and there (selout, aa), also the bg looks a little sketchy imo
I especially love the way you did the signature.
