this could use a lot improvement.... before u start shading piece u should make sure the lineart is correct...thats where i see s lot of issues, for example the feet should be on one level, at least when seen from the front, also the dark lines of the leave are rly confusing, on this small scale ur darkest color should only outline the object, .... try to find a tutorial on selective outlining... also i think u were trying to put to much details in ur work (like the "fingers"), in pixel art u have to find ways to create the illusion of something that is actually smaller than a single pixel...
u should remove the white background, make it transperant ,or to make ur piece more intresting add something like a lake or so....
heres an edit..
I understand that I struggle with color, as I have to find my own through paint. Do you use palettes? Or do you create your own? Another thing is that I think I have a very different pixel style...I like to use the pencil tool in paint sort of like an actual pencil, and then clear out the lines and smooth them. Levelness is great, but at times I like to use the jagged edges to accentuate things. Thats just my take on it anyways... Nice frog~
Backround is something I definitely need to work on. This one was meant to be on its own, with a transparent backround, but I don't know how to do that. I tried to use the suggested site, but it didn't work. Any suggestions?
