if ur using photoshop you can keep transparency if u go to FILE > SAVE FOR WEB.... theres u can find "transparency" checkbox, as long as u dont have a background layer in ur piece , if u check this ur GIF will be transparent
for the piece: there seem to be a lot of issues, the head isnt rly round also the body should be more centered, the color count is a bit high, some aa is needed
Ah I see. So if I want to make an area transparent in the future pick a color I don't plan on using right?
Thanks!
Ehmm, well, the background issue is resolved, but it seems you kept the same value of white, for the background as you did the white in the character as well, which transparified those bits too. I'll submit for you anyhow, but maybe you can fix/edit those colors by choosing a slightly different hue of white so it doesn't get transparified next time.
ps, thank you for obliging to the rules, submitting...
Quite a disturbing piece: bleeding character withoud arms or legs. Eeech!!
There we go, I think I finally got it with iaza. I couldn't tell what I was selecting on that..Thanks!
I was using photoshop, and deleting the white areas..but I'm confused. Is it taking the old file and uploading it somehow?
Also I tried using iaza before and it didn't seem to work either..I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
use iaza.com, it has a free transparency tool.
Filename is:
raitransparent.png.gif
The double extension might be a problem for some apps.
Alternative way to transparencify: use the 'magic eraser'. For instance, if you have several layers without bg, when you 'flatten image', the bg loses its transparency. The magic eraser allows you to get it back easily.
