Wonderful !! how about something on that grey wall? A crack? A painting? A cracked painting?
Do you mean the sideboard/cabinets and table top? If that's what you meant...well I guess I was going for more of a comic book style. The more I cleaned things up, the worse it looked to me. So I made it messy again.
@Metaru: this palette is more fun than I originally thought. I highly recommend trying something with it.
truth is i haven't worked on anything for a while C:
I think is a fine piece! Some shadings are a bit weird, but not too confusing. I also like the details in this one.
BTW, whats with the greywall? Anyway, good work! :)
Yes, the grey wall is definitely a distraction, it contrasts a lot with the all-colorful pic. Light blue, light green, yellow might work.
Tone down the bg outlines, maybe using that grey, it will give depth and make the foregr more prominent.
The choice of iso doesn't allow you to go crazy on persp, that would have been nice!
The bottle colors are not reminiscent of any beverage, more of house cleaner. Yech... Try them brown, with just a hint of yellow-light green reflection.
And maybe go wild on the guy's face colors? Like Jinn's. This is difficult though, but pink is the too obvious choice.
make forearms thicker and make him more round cheecks have you seen governer phatt from monkey island?
@ sharprm: Thanks for pointing that out about the frame. I made an edit.
@ Mathias: He's was supposed to be sipping on wine, but it kind of looks like beer. He has eaten a bit, but this picture is supposed represent the wastefulness.
I guess the only thing that kind of bothers me is the leff gray wall. It seems like it doesn't fit or kind of bland. Making it orange like the other wall looked like too much. Any suggestions for this would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the comments everyone.
Frame on top and right side, did you make it thick enough? ie. left side seems really thick.
But he hasn't really eaten anything yet. What's he sippin' on there?
I have to say i really dig this :D some of the shading are odd but i really like it.!
the way it seems you haven't worked with much anything in a while ):
anyways, not bad, i enjoy the extra details like the mouse hole + crack in the wall
i need to give this a try, haven't worked with fixed palettes in a while
Nice, but a little bit to much different colors...
