I know this is from forever ago but OMG. Insane. Your use of colors here is just mind-blowing. You just bended those W7P colors to your will lol I especially love your use of gray. Just a brilliant/genius piece that shows that you have a super solid grasp on like, everything and know WTF's up.
Thanx for all the nice comments and votes in the challenge.
Congrats on the win - Your stuff is great, and this one really pops.
I couldn't believe this was a limited palette piece!
Really inspiring to those of us not yet as skilled.
Thanks, and can't wait for more!
Impressive.
Love the use of the pallete, but I'm diggin' the texture you made especially. =)
Love your use of the challenge palette.
Voted for you, hope you win :D
This is so cool.
I saved this image so I can study your textures up-close - I really like them! I know if I tried to draw something so bubbly and particulate, it would probably look like lichen or pebbles gone wrong.
This, though, looks smooth yet volatile - like he really is burning from inside. Amazing!
The dithered eye looks hollow, like a hole in his face - which is kind of scary and cool.
This is truly psychedelic! Very nice use of shapes and use of the palette.
You have my vote.
Those teeth are so well done that I didn't even notice them until I looked at the picture for some time. Nice job!
Awesomeness ... nice colors, nice structure ... No comment!
My all-time favorite
nice dithering pattern, wish the canvas size allowed for more :]
Fix the dithering, it takes a lot away from the piece.
Great reminds me ofpsilocybin dream. Can't wait for your "Lust" illustration. )))
wonderfull ! great use of the palette, very expressive, perfect job !
Wow, I just noticed his teeth, very cool! I like this piece a lot. Your use of the palette is really interesting. I think the blue under the nose does work, in my opinion. That eye bothers me too, less because of the dithering and more because it lacks shape. It looks like his iris and pupil are just floating in an empty socket. Why not make it look like the other eye, which is well done in my opinion? Still, it doesn't ruin the piece for me, it looks excellent. Nice job!
I so BADLY want you to sort out that dithering on the eye. It really spoils a wonderful piece of work.
Nevertheless, faved and vote reserved.
{ Pretty awesome, Dawn!
I really like this kind of dithering.
Hah, right from the pattern-dithering in the preview, I knew this would be from an 'old-timer' :)
I really like how the green part blends in to the violet but while the idea is generally well exectued I seem some minor things which dont seem to work that well with the win 7 palette (the blue under the nose for example). Also this seems to be a step away from your usual style which I find very refreshing. Great work all in all
Awesome, I love it! Great colors. Would look perfect on a C64!
Nice teeth. Good use of the near impossible colour scheme there too. I'd say yours edges out Jinns because the difficult pallette doesn't seem so obvious here, which means you must've done a good job!
Man, don't blame yourself. It's just awesome. Your best piece, in my opinion.
Such creative dithering! How do you do this?!!!
