On the circle, the bottom green part isn't dithered like the rest, is that on purpose? Anyways, this pieces is just amazing, I wish I had that kind of talent.
It is very nice to see that you can work with another palette too!
You sure know how to draw them ladies. (Although I'm not so sure about the green in the circle...perhaps gray would conform better to the shades of the woman and let the green of the money stand out better!?)
Made an edit... smoothed that dithering; a better option would be a different pattern altogether.
Just as an experiment, I also changed the grey-blue to brown, I think it works better as a transition btw dark blue and pink. But of course the overall color atmosphere gets lost.
You make drawing faces and hair seem so easy...I'm very jealous.
You used the colors really well, nicely done. I like the dithering. I feel like dithering has been getting a bad rap around here lately, but I think it's really a matter of opinion. Well done, overall!
many churches actually do equate glutonny with, not just overeating, but excess/living above your means in general. this is different from greed as greed is holding on to things without thinking about the consequences, and excess is about wildly spending without thinking of the consequences. Over eating is the most obvious example of this sin, but to many it is not restricted to just that
The face and hair looks amazing :) Well done!
Gluttony means overeating. I'm fairly certain you mean greed, greed is the sin that relates to possession of excess general (in fact its commonly related to money). Unless, of course, she is eating the note, which I doubt.
The reason I suggested pride in the forum was that it seems she is so proud of her piles of money that she wants to rub how much she earns in everyone's faces. By burning her note it's as though she's thinking- "100 dollars? - that's nothing - I make that much in like 5 minutes, see I'll even burn a $100 note right now". Whereas if she were greedy she would probably rather keep her money/buy something than get rid of it by burning it. Greedy people want more and more, by burning the note she just removes it from her possession.
About the piece itself, it looks amazing, I especially love the way you did the hair. Great use of the colours; it definitely doesn't look like you've used a pre-defined palette. Also, the circle works well.
I'm going to submit this into the challenge on the assumption that you meant greed (or pride like I suggested), but definitely not gluttony - since that really just does refer to the over-consumption of food.
Wonderful!
I just resent the dithering, esp btw blue-gray and pink, gives her a beard.
Also that reflection + outline on the chin looks strange at 100%.
I really like it. But shes supposed to be smoking a rolled up dollar like a cigerette right? It appears to be only next to her mouth rather than in it though. other than that great job, exelent use of colors.
If I could vote now, I'm sure, that you had got my vote
