i like the way the details in the distance fade : ]
theres ome cind of magic about your work.............................................................................................................
merveilleux tableau, mais je pense que le sable, c'est trop jaune ;)
I like this a lot, but I think the fence seems to lack detail.
Have to disagree with the idea that elements were randomly plonked down. The big rock and the fence (and also the bright sandy ground) gives the whole scene depth... and it really makes that foggy quality in the background that much better. Its really just the clouds to the left that look rushed, so I agree with you on that.
Here comes Mr Mean, Mr Bringdown.
I love the mountains in the background and the little building, but the rest I'm not convinced about. There doesn't seem to be a lot of direction to this piece and much of the foreground stuff just seems to be plonked down to fill the space. I personally think if you left out the wood fence bit out it would've looked better (less is more!). Also, call me crazy but I kind of get the impression that you plonked that big rock pillar down in the foreground because you were struggling with attaching the foreground to the distance. I think you should remove that. I also think that instead of having a yellow sandy foreground, you should keep it consistently green and grassy as the whole piece doesn't feel very consistent. Also, this same problem looks peculiar where the thick forest trees are just right next to the sand.
The pixel work is inconsistently poorer in some areas - the rock in the foreground, the wood fence, the sandy foreground and also the clouds on the left, which aren't nearlly are well made as the clouds on the left.
What I'm seeing in this picture is flashes of brilliance and quality pixelwork, but as a whole picture it appears sloppy and bitty. The composition is poor. (Something I'm also weaker at) I reckon if you plan this out a little better, keep the mountains, the clouds on the right and much of the tree work, we could see something very special.
Sorry to be such a downer about your work, but I could see this becoming really impressive so wanted to get my views in.
avec ça sur pixel joint tu vas etre dans le weekly showcase
EDIT : ah ben c'est fait...
beautiful. Very pretty indeed. This is going to sound pretty corny, but I think this picture has a nice sense of depth...
Yeah, that did come out corny.
Very nice picture!
@hotnikkelz: My paint program says 22 colors.
I think the roof on the house has just a little too much pop to it. Maybe lighten those colors just a wee bit?
Other than that, this is awesome! I love all the little details. :3
I thought "Fool!" when I saw it, too. Very nice job. :D
Beaaaaaaaauuuutiful... Rocks, mountains and the sky are incredibly detailed. Good job!
The style looks like a combination of Dex/Fool, I like it
Superbe!
The yellow ground is distracting, though. Some of the grey-greens might be better there.
nice work the desaturated backgroudn give the sense of depth
I thought this was going to be a fool piece too. Very well done!
That is quite nice! I thought it Fool at first too.
Only crit would be that the clouds on the left side are slightly garbled looking.
It has some fool feeling over it, still not because of the color choose and contrast. Good job!
Great landscape, beautiful use of colors and shading.
