Very nice! I voted too!
And I like the texture you gave the background!
Wow =) thank you very much for the critic and compliments. I never expected to get this level of acceptance with this piece. I'm really glad.
I don't know if I'll have the time to make some adjustments for the weekly challenge, but I'll definetely try.
Great style !! I like a lot the moustache and the dithering of the background.
I agree with the posture. It really has that late nineteenth century photography vibe.
I think it's cool that you broke out and did something experimental for the challenge. I actually am really loving the texture in the whole thing from the dithering, especially on the jacket, which looks awesome. It's especially nice in the backdrop, like the photo is scratched, or he's posed in front of a sheet of burlap. I keep wanting to touch my screen. And that moustache! I feel like the jump between the darker and lighter shades on the shirt lapels (and to a lesser extent the nose/face? what would you call that?) is a little harsh, though.
*thumbs up* Very cool and different.
Thanks a lot =)
The BG was an especially tricky part
At 1x looks like a lady in dress turning her head from the viewer. In the beginning of XX century.
Also reminded me of Gogol's story The Nose:
lol cuteXD I like the colors a lot and the bg is especially effective.
love the colors
