That's rather beautiful :D
I just think that "Never" and "Trust" are a bit too close together (Though still totally readable)
Elegant line art ! On the other hand perhaps the AA could be improved in some places ( her hair for example ).
i was bored and did an edit with warm colors for curtains in case u r interested: http://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e199/sharprm/sea.png
Manjaman: I agree about the arm, actually. I was trying to stylize it in such a way that she (although dead) seemed to be reclining on the waves (I was listening to a song when I started; the first line says: "sweet annabelle/as seen reclining on an ocean swell" and I liked the imagery) rather than being exactly washed among them--a happy medium, you know? But I don't think I pulled it off entirely--you can see that the hair isn't behaving exactly as it would either, although I think I handled that slightly better and it's closer to what I wanted. It was educational, though! I ended up erasing a knee that was showing through the foam for the same reason.
More thanks are in order too :)
I just tried to make something very simple with an similar style, and ended in a little fail...
This work is really inspirating...
Thanks :)
Awesomeness!
Incredible work!!! Job well done :] --> FAV'D
Wonderfully beautiful!
Would be even more so if I found a way to relate the drapes to some boat, but I failed.
I expect to see more goodies coming from you.
Well, see you in november top pixel arts
Strange that we could see her right arm behind the wave...
d9nis: Yes, I used a tablet. I switched back to a mouse for some of the fiddlier AA, but it's mostly tablet :)
Thanks everyone :D
Are those few yellow pixels in between her legs some bush or is it accidental?
Very nice anyway.
The sailor drowned his naked ex-girlfriend XD
Awesome piece!
