Mazette tu as vraiment fait d'énormes progrès ces derniers temps. Ca devait faire des mois que je n'étais pas passé sur PJ, c'est assez bluffant de voir ce que tu parviens à faire maintenant. Je continue à suivre ton travail, même si je n'ai plus guère le temps de traîner sur PJ, et encore moins de pixelliser :)

Well, I think it feels empty because behind the few tall buildings, there's... nothing.

You need to add some sort of background. Maybe clouds, maybe outer space; anything to add some extra spice to the scene.

It's good, but it feels sort of unfinished.

@ Jeremy: have to agree about that shooter, I tried a number of versions and it never came anywhere near what I wanted. It's supposed to be sort of translucent with light inside.

@ previous comments about bg: I think I'm seing it now, there is a feeling of emptiness somewhere that I can't exactly put my finger on, much less find the fix to. Thanks for pointing it!

About bg: it certainly is simple, it was an option from the start and I never considered making it different (although it took quite a few trials to get it right!).

I just love sketchy, misty bgs; and I don't really see a way to add anything to it without messing with the composition and readability. Esp with that palette, value jumps being either tiny or big.

I actually considered dithering the ground a bit. Maybe that would help blending bg / fg without messing them, I'll try that. And I'll keep that crit in mind anyway!

The characters are wonderful! Really like the way you rendered the hearts, although the background could of used a bit more detail.

Excellent idea, I could not think of anything to do for this one.  You went above and beyond the average idea :)

Very unique take on the challenge, and the rendering of the heart and glass bubbles is beautiful. My only complaint is that the background seems a bit under-rendered in comparison, but it does emphasize the foreground. Lovely work!
