How about some parallax? (make foreground move faster than bg, to enhance the impression of persp and depth).
Also, the black eyes and mouths are too, well, black, I think.
Not much a fan of the White Stripes, but this is really cool, I love the hypnotic animation. Maybe it's time for bands to start making animated album covers :P
