WOW! thats one beautiful peice of pixel art! loving it! bring on some more beauty!
Wow that WIP animation really is quite something. Final piece is fantastic, if a bit over-dithered for my usual tastes. I really love the hair casting a shadow over her face in the photo-reference, seems a shame not to put it in the artwork.
Well, she has quite red-like hair in real life... A Beautiful Chestnut colour
Maybe I should check my screen setup then... I hope it's not set up awkward, because it would mean all my palettes look rubish except on my screen
same thing here. stupid new reflective screen laptops. skin looks better too forget the wood comment.
I think (and this is just a guess here) that you're supposed to tilt your monitor back a bit before you look at it. I'm looking at it on a laptop, and when you tilt it back it looks really nice. I'm not really sure if that was the intention, but yeah, when you look at it dead on, the black looks bad.
Nice job anyway!
5/5 amazing piece but the black hole in her hair bugs me.
Thanks for the great response so far! Dex and Dawnbringer: I looked at it just now and changed it (it indeed looked a bit odd), albeit very subtle. You can more clearly see the difference in the WIP image (I changed it in that as well)
lookin' really awesome there, man. followed this on the forums, nice outcome. i am not toof ond of the teeth nor the pseudo-dither but otherwise this is really nice and i'm absolutely sure your friend will LOVE it. the hair is outstanding. good work! ;)
Nice dude, you really got photo-2-pixel down to an art. Love the choice of background color. The teeth are a little too well defined tough.
Wow, this is gorgeous! The cheek crease looks a bit weird, I agree, but on the whole, this remarkable! I love the hair especially.
You worked so very hard that you deserve a lot of praise for the effort, kudos!
The hair is amazingly done. Congratulations!
(Not that I'm saying the rest of the piece isn't good, it's phenomenal)
really good apart from maybe a few little things. maybe she looks a bit made of wood not sure. maybe more reflected light or red would help. also from nose to chin shouldn't it be a line that slopes inwards? eye is tiny.
The way the hair flows is fantastic! Great job.
Wow, this is really amazing. I agree with Angel, which means it must have been very hard working like this. You are great at dithering!
I REALLY like the piece when I look at it from a distance. Up close, the dithering is just too heavy. However, when it all blends together, the piece is fantastic.
I love it! Very nice realism. My only suggestion is to change the background colors; they blend too much with the skin. D:
