Absolutely wonderful! This really makes me want to look into subpixeling in more depth. Such a powerful concept.
i cannot read this and find it creepy that other people can
this must be some kind of black magic i am imune to
This is lovely. . . can I use it in a piece? I'll credit you in the description and provide a link to this page of course.
the 3rd column is just symbols, ....like , . : ; ! ? ( ) / + %
On the LCD I am viewing, the third column is indistinct, although I can read the rest...
I think it works best on older LCDs with larger subpixels.
Also, some LCDs have reversed subpixels. This font is designed for screens that are R-G-B. The characters may be reversed if your screen is B-G-R.
And then, there are those weird Samsung PenTile OLEDs...
Whoanelly hotdogs that's awesome!
I duelscreen with an old CRT and an LCD, seems to like the LCD one much better, aha.
Man, this is incredibly awesome. I find it hard expressing how much I love this. Those tiny letters are perfect.
Is this one of those "Only smart people can hear this whistle" kind of thing? D:
Awesome! I have to get really close to the monitor, but it looks epic.
Holy hell, it works. Brilliant, truly; I didn't even know people did things like this.
Genius!
For those struggling to make out the characters, get up nice and close to your monitor, it may be that your eyes are doing the blending that is illustrated in the 2x characters, you need to be able to see the subpixel elements for it to work
wow! i read hello world!
( @_______@ )" wth! how do u discover that?
smallest font ever! I'd seen sub-pixel fonts before, but this is just crazy. certainly beats my 3x3 font, although that's not a sub-pixel font. amazing job though, blew my mind.
YOU ARE A GOD!!! This is so cool! You just took pixel art to a new level
This stuff is pretty amazing. Great sense of color blending.
Ha! I wasn't impressed until I realized that I could read "Hello World!" when it was scaled to 1x. It's completely illegible at 2x. Ah, subpixelling is cool. Kudos.
That's just like the ol' VIC 20 or C-64 when you would go into a certain screen mode (using the POKE command) and all text you typed would appear similar to this. Very cool.
wow, put my face close to the monitor and was able to read it quickly and easily. That's incredible!
Cool idea, but it doesn't work on my CRT monitor as it just kinda blurs together, and doesn't work on my LCD because it just looks too crisp - so I'm not sure how is this supposed to work.
It took me a while to get it, but once I did, AWESOME! XD
Hmm... Can't see it on my screen. But the idea is very cool.
woah this is unbelievable! How did you work it all out?
wow dude! you could be a spy. why is this not in the galery?!
yeah depends on ur screen somehow... on my laptop its clearly visible but on, this iMac in school where im writing this, its just blurry...
Need an old, OLD CRT to see this one clearly. Or maybe a portable device. XD
Still, it's a pretty interesting experiment.
Wow this is really aweome, I really can see the alphabet at 1x zoom, but any higher and the subpixeling disappears.
