just add a little more outline to the wings, its ok to use full black/orange in some spots, doesnt need too much aa and line breakage. other than that its perfect (take MY word for it.)
oh i didnt knew the exact size, thanks!
im closing his wings and cutting away the flame later to make him fit the restrictions :)
Actually, one of the requirements for that style is a size limitation; 80x80 pixels is what the pokemon is suppose to stay within as far as the dimentions of its sprite are concerned.
As far as the actual sprite, the wing on the right (our right), seems a bit odd. Some of that is because of the perspective, but I would say mainly it's the orange tip poking out. It doesn't fallow the same line as his other tip does on his other wing (which makes it look broken).
You could also add some kind of light from the flame hitting his tail (that effect is indicated in his offical sprites too).
It is a very nice dynamic pose though, and other than the the size, it's pretty much in the style you're shooting for.
Wing outlines should be a little more opaque, but very nice style, you dot the DS from down perfectly ;)
