Now that's what I call color conserving. Looks so amazingly natural and artistic. I have a 16x16 sprite that uses more colors than are listed here. Very creative, nice job
Agree with you here, weekly challenge was just a starting point while others focused on actual character design. I would give my points to an actual character rather than a scene involving a simple character.
I think you'll give Turtlechan and Chis a run for thier money but I really would have liked a more original chimera.
the wolf expression made it to me, make laugh so hard.
Love the wolf's expression, great concept! I want a pet tiger rabbit! The depth of the forest in the background is a great addition as well, and all your textures are superb. ^^ Just one thing that bothers me is the right side of the wolf's face, I feel like it should stand out more against the background
:D Heh, papirosas were filled with the worst tobacco ever. Funny how they were popular in 90's among weed smokers as they are cheap and tobacco part could be easily replaced with weed :)
heheh, scary it was, oh yeah :) but in that good sense, somehow. another funny thing I remember was that this crazy wolf used to smoke cigarettes the wrong way up (took me some time to realize that he was smoking папироса).
HAHAHAHAH You should win this challenge TODAY for the concept.
Love the wolve's expression. And those colors look fantastic.
Thanks for the comments :) I agree with the shading problem with the rabbit.
zi, I have no idea, what Timurian rabbit is. Google leads me to this page, so I'm kinda confused O_o
Skurwy, n1 cartoon for most 20 years old and older people in Russia :) How could it be scary for someone? O_o I was not really thinking about it but now... Heh, that's definately why I added wolf when rabbit was ready. I just can't think of something more obviously fitting than the wolf and probably that's because of "Nu, pogodi", heh.
Holy phuck, you're genius, wow amazing texture and background!
The rabbit stands out a bit too much with the outline and high contrast but a wonderful piece anyway. Fantastic.
Great piece. The lighting on the Tigrab seems a little flat compared to the rest of the pic, but I guess that was to keep the Tigrab in focus?
The use of those 11 colours are wonderful.
reminds me of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu,_pogodi! -- which was real funny (yet kinda scary) to watch when i was a toddler. i guess this is where the inspiration comes from, eh? :) wonderful piece, man, congratulations!
Is this new Timurian tigger in Russia ?
Heh nice work
That's excellent. Amazing job on the vegetation ! Very nice colors. Strange light on the rabbit (?).
Amazing!
