Second submission, second attempt at it; a rough replica of the trophy given to the winner of the FIA F1 World Drivers Championship.  I came across a better reference photo that pointed out a mistake I'd made, so my original was inaccurate.  I'm creating pixel replicas of racing trophies for personal use on a browser game forum in an attempt to learn pixel art.

Hmmm.  Needs some anti aliasing.   Quick edit that I thought might help.

right now lines are looking extremely jagged.  Check out this, it might help.

Big improvement ;)

Thanks; after reading your post I figured I'd try eliminating the black border at some point.  Then I got hold of another photo showing where I'd made a mistake so "at some point" became "how about now"  :P

 

The tough part is finding reference photos; some of the trophies I need to create are tough to find images of online.
