Ok so, something a little more ''serious'' in content today. I wanted to do a lot more with this peice but I lack the talent to pull it off properly
The idea for this peice is pretty dark and sobering but oh well. Basically the gal with the knife is a woman who used to get hit by her husband a lot. And now she's decided to fight back, she's taken away his power by not being afraid of him anymore.
Blegh, I need to do some happy stuff soon =/

I like the use of negative space along the right hand side, it makes it all the more eerie. I like the style you've drawn her in, quite clean and cel shade looking. I only have a tiny, tiny suggestion: on some of the places where her skin's contour meets the black background it looks a little jagged, I experimented and found that you could use the two main grey colours on her dress are extra antialiasing. Perhaps on the knife too. I'm just being really picky, sorry. Great pice, I like the detail in the border :)

Don't worry. The piece is fine as apple pie. The darkness surrounding her gives the viewer a good enough reason to understand that it isn't a happy piece. good job.
