What a crazy perspective. It'd be really cool to play a game like this. I mean, to play this game.
really great piece, as has been said. that perspective can't get enough love, very well executed
I've never seen such vibrant colours from you that I can remember. This is really nice, I love the bricks =D
The worm's eye angle does a great job of implying height! The character sprite is very appealing also. Great work! The bushes in the foreground don't work too well, because the highlights on them blend into the background. Try experimenting with dark green or a dark purple-gray for them; that will help differentiate them.
Just wonderful. Can I experiment with your perspective idea?
Man, the perspective makes it look really three-dimensional. Lovely work!
Unique perspective and I like the faceted look of the bricks.
Mobile size screen. Too bad.
It could have been super on a 'real' machine.
I'd better be a pitch because this needs to be seen :)
This is a wonderful idea for a platform! Love the palette, too! It's like it's dusk, i can feel the warm sun!
I love this to bits! It feels weird that I've never thought of this angle before, would be awesome walking upside down :D
that has got to be the most aweful looking game I've ever seen. was yours made for fun? or for a pitch?
Thanks guys!
indigo, this is the image of the original game... Developed by Meantime Mobile Creations.
Everything is truly amazing. The perspective really stands out to me, so does the kids eyes which kinda reminds me of a horror movie I watched the other day.
The perspective truly is amazing - simply for the fact it breaks traditional standards for platformer perspective. it's amazing to me that I never thought of doing something like this because my mind was so set on "this is the right way". Everything is so well made - great style, crisp colors, awesome perspective, non-standard content. It seems this type of perspective would get extremely annoying though if the goal were not to always keep going higher in the level.
I can't seem to find the original game you're referencing. Can you link me?
Not quite sure what's going on, but those tiles are lovely.
Amazing work!
The AA on the clouds are simply perfect. Everything in the scene goes together really nicely.
I am also a fan of the angled view.
