This looks great, although I would suggest making the rider look different than the camel, colorwise. They read as the same color, and I dunno, maybe try putting some yellows on the camel? Something like that.

 the head was a bit of a joke of my old avatar really, wasnt going for a serious look on it.

This is great, except for his jackal head. Looks too small and a bit indistinct. 

The camel is brighter, but honestly at first glance I thought it was some Anubis-centaur-thingy.

 it is, but barely, looked ok on my other computer, but not as good on others.

 I think you should give the camel a different color than the Anubis.
