Hit a bit of a roadblock on this, and have been very busy, so uploading it for now.
Some background on this:
Its a mockup of the first level in a game I've been working on in my spare time. Its the ruins of a modern city, the character starts here, and looks for the person responsible for destroying it.
The two characters displayed are just goons, and are mostly just there for scale, I decided to go with larger and more realistic proportions, instead of the really SD style I had going at first.
Using many layers, they would be scrolling at different speeds in the game. Each layer is made up of 32x32 tiles.
Also, I should note, this is very influenced by henk, right down to the angled floors
