This is great, however I agree on it being too dark. I also agree with Manupix, the buildings in the background should be viewed straight from the front. I'm hoping that the shadows from the characters will be transparant/dithered later on and following the slopes. Keep it up!

Great technique! I would suggest finding a way to enhance the depth. You could provide the illusion of distance by making the level of detail lower in the distant background layers. Right now, the farthest buildings have the smallest windows, resulting in high contrast that fights for the viewer's attention. I would love to see this game in action!
Nice texture, but the characters blend in too much with the background. Bump up the contrast between the player and cars!
Great, but I see 3 independent parts: foreground with cars, bg buildings, and sprites. All excellent, but don't fit well, color- and contrast- and perspective-wise.
