I like it and the background makes since, I imagine the white parts would just about dissapear on light themes if the background were transparent.

yes, it's a desing choice, it looks better in a black background

@ manjaman, I didn't send back for trans BG or even question it because Luigivking's gallery is top quality work and contains many trans BGs so I figured it was a design choice.
