Amazing! I love the palette and detail on his face especially! :3
I was definitely inspired by American Illustrators for this piece. Clerverly pointed out, Manjaman!!
Thanks Calv! I can't get enough of Skittles colors, haha!
Yeah, I definitely need to learn how to do proper Anti Alias-ing on this pixel work. I'll give it a go and edit this submission later on. Thanks KoG!
Chin fixed! Thanks Kurt, it does look a lot more believable now. I might have to refine the chin again a bit later though, something doesn't ring quite right. I just can't seem to point it out yet.
Haha thanks Frost. I'll definitely try my best to clean this up sooner or later, especially the Anti Alias.
I might have pushed the enveloppe a bit on the color palette variety and rendering, so I can understand if you don't deem it as a true pixel art.
Thanks B.O.B.! I think I understand what you meant by clustering Anti Alias... I'll have a go at editing/cleaning this thing when my patience levels are refreshed again.
Haha!! That it does!
I've done what I could to add more volume believability to his right arm (thanks for the suggestion!), but I dare not go any further, or else it'd stick out too much from his torso. I'll definitely have to touch up on his vest again later, I noticed some shadow patterns don't make a lick of sense.
Thanks again, Ambient!
Geez I love it for some reason, it makes me think to some kind of propaganda realist painting.
This kind of reminds me of the red and stimpy style, specifically powder toast man. Agree with previous comments, great colors, but needs to be cleaned up, and AA'd on suit, could probably eliminate some of the colors. Very cool though.
seconding the chin in front of the shoulder bit. Try it for yourself.
This is lovely. His chin should definitely be in front of his shoulder, though.
This would benefit pretty much from som cleaning up and proper AA.
But wait! 183 colors? I suspect that this is not proper pixel art..
Nice job on the color/palette ramp. Could do without the clustered AA, though. Definitely not needed in a lot of places...submitting..
Reminds me of http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/50550.htm
His right arm looks a bit flat, especially in comparison to his left arm.
Thanks, TINC! I've editted it so that it has 100% less jarring white background for this website layout. Thanks for pointing that out!
saw this on dA and loved it, the stark white bg is a bit jarring though
Im so glad that a pixel site has Phoenix Wright art.... you deserve a medal for your fine work.
