The highlights on Waluigi are way too bright a pink, his fingers are too short (for such a lanky dude), the lighting on him isn't consistent either, the buttons are a tad bright too. Besides those minor things I love your take on these guys, Mario is pretty dang perfect and they both have really strong sense of character :)
First of all I want to say that i love your take on these characters.
Now my criticism.
Waluigi's legs look weird, and Mario's crotch seems a little off-centered to his left.
Well that's it .

I love the preview! Lol, it's like Waluigi wants a hug and Mario is like "Justa you try it..."
Waluigi needs some meat on his left shoulder (our right) but these are great sprites and you did a fantastic job of colouring and lighting and giving them personality - I really like them!

Your AA is near to invisible. Great sprites, I followed the thread. Too bad it's not finished like you've planned. You're improving a lot.
Waluigi's left arm (our right) seems jaggy compared to the rest of the body It also seems to blend right into his hat.
other then that, I'm stoked about the style!
