Beautiful as usual, but it seems a little less refined than your normal stuff. Might be the heavier use of black or something
i made a topic for more monsters in the WIP forum, i'll be posting new ones in there until i get enough for a mass-entry.
please submit the second soon!! your work is very inspireational. if im ever feeling uninspired i jut have to head over to my favs and look at one of your pieces
already made a second :P
working on a third now (non-slimy though, just the same style), may save them up for a mass entry though.
Correction cure. Your's is much better, but mine is the sexiest. lol
well yes, obviously mine is the sexiest.
may have a point on the lack of sliminess, I might go back in and add more speculars or somethin'.
Awesome one, great job. Not very slimy though.
Heh, thanks for the nice words but yours is stronger and way sexier (:
your monsters are always good! XDDD... i enjoy them a looot :DDD
I hope that's not so, frostpumpkin's entry was much more original! And no less well-pixelled, only less detailed.
The black shade gives is a nice depth, and it's certainly detailed!
How the hell do you know where to put those pixels? Very nice!
supreme use of colours and great character design... and it looks like a toad with tentacles so I have to love that no matter why...
Nice job! Doesn't seem slimy at first glance, though. It's only when I zoom in that I notice it.
Definitely saw Frankie in this piece, but I knew it was made by Cure. Looks great.
@Niss: updated, hopefully fixed that jagged back.
@Jal: Frankie came to mind while making this. lotsa black, and the somewhat muted palette with bright purples probably adds to it.
@Niss: Yeah, I noticed that problem too, just couldn't think of a fix. good ideas, i'll try 'em out.
Snap! Third time I'm fooled...swore it was gonna be by Frankie o.O
That looks great cure!
Colors and the idea are very cool, my only nitpick might be the jagged look of the back outline on the back - mind, the pixel placing itself is sound there, it only looks jagged because of the large black shading block(the black outline on the front part works fine because of the birght shades next to it). Secondary lightsource or other shading would easily fix that. Just a small nitpick tho.
Adorable slimey bugger!
looking good!
