I agree the greys on the right piece in particular have far too much. The right foot could do with reworking - it doesn't look like it could stand on it, point it to the left not right. It's a cool character, and I prefer the first version also.

Okay, sorry. But while I'm here I'll say that you have really pillow-shaded to the max on some parts and need to fix that. . . methinks. . .
The numbers aren't the order in which I made them. Number two was the first was, number one the second one.
Er, why did you go from less colors to more? I think you shouldn't add colors but swap out to create more contrast.
Red colors could use more contrast.
Also remove white background.
