An entry for an online (realtime) ZX Spectrum graphics compo at HackersTop 2010 demoparty. Theme of the compo was arbitrary, and ~3 hours were given to make a low-res picture using online graphics editor. There was choices of three software modes - 32x24, 32x48 or 64x24. Palette is not standart ZX because the picture flickers on the real ZX, allowing to use more colors. This pic took 2nd place of 7 entries.

It flickers at 25hz between a two colors from standart ZX palette. This looks like mix of the two colors, extending the palette, however with darken colors and noticeable flicker.

Yeah certainly a bit darker than CPC but it's definitely got equivalent colors and certainly those used are far closer to the CPC (especially the use of them too like the pink and yellow skin tones) and looks much more like it was made on CPC than Spectrum.  I've never seen those colors appear on a real Spectrum before.  Not quite sure how it does that.  It's flickering between certain default Spec colors to simulate the CPC-like palette?

That's very true Carnivac! I also felt the CPC vibe of it (but  I have a lack of knowledge on speccy)

Indeed, just a little dark compared to CPC.

the colors used and the 'wide pixel' look of it certainly makes it look very CPC-like don't you think? :)

Yes please!!! Great combination of the 2 action heroes and nice overall. Makes me want to try a spectrum palette too.
