Thank you, iLKke. WNIP = Work Not In Progress (my own snarky deviation of the common acronym. Took me all night)
Interesting point about the body. And yes, this was a loving work of details, though I did try and keep in mind the overall picture as I piddled away.
@carrion. Are you serious? I can pixel with reckless abandon and it still might display on a real C64? ptoing isn't gonna liiiiiiike thiiiiiiiiiisss!!!!!1!!!7
fantastic work. i wish to see it on real c64 machine. NUFLI is probably capable of viewing this.
Lovely rendering.
My only crit is that the arms and body of the hero are very much obscured by his huge head. I just think that this worked much better on your initial sketch than on the finished piece. As it is, this piece is like those graffitti where you spend a long time staring at it while the details slowly unveil. Not that it's a bad thing per se. :)
Also, what is WNIP?
@sneep. Oy. Unjustly copious hours! I really lingered on this one.
@hummingbird. Hehe, well this little scene is just a depiction of part of the game's plot.
@ james. The char is indeed inspired of Cpt. Falcon, as sort of an inside joke, actually. (a fave char of mine)
Why does the guy with the helmet remind me of Captain Falcon? Anyway, this is totally bossanova. Worth the fave, too.
Haha, another classic 'round these parts. :]
This is hard to keep my eyes off of. How long it take? =]
Masterpiece, fav ^^ I love the monster perspective; as infinite
