great scott!, if this is based on the game, hit your skills to 88 and create some flash games!
{ Whoa, no sure if it inspired them, but this would be great!
I didn't play episode 3 yet, but I'll check it out! :)
Interestingly enough, and sort of spoilers, but Telltale actually put a scene and puzzle in the game similar to this scene. Maybe they were inspired by your work?
the Doc face is perfect, great work ^^ (and the Delorian , of course )
well, I love it! I think it looks epic :) I absolutely love this style!
My only thing is that the doc, marty, and the cat don't look nearly as beautiful as everything else, so they stand out in a nonpleasant way.
The car is beautiful btw, and so is the brick wall.
{ I kinda agree about the car, but I would need to start over. And that's no point to do this, imo, since it will not be a real game...
I also tryed some shapes behind the doc's head, and none seem to work fine.
About the amount of pixels, I just tried to follow the original concept art from Telltale, and with less detail it loses the resemblance... May you show/sugest something?
And about the foreground brushes, I'll try some other collors. ;)
Oh, and with the bricks, they were intended to be musty/moldy.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the critics! I'm really glad that you like it beside the problems.
Very nice replication of the classic style! Those games used indexed artwork as backgrounds, but it's interesting seeing that imitated with pixels. I do have a few minor crits:
-The car itself looks a bit stiff. It might fit better if you loosened up the lines a little bit so it followed the curve of the road more.
- I would put a slightly warped rectangle (with drop shadow) behind Dr. Brown's head to distinguish it as part of the GUI.
- I would reduce the amount of pixel detailing on the faces of Marty and the Doc. Keep it simple. I would also darken the Doc's eyebrows so the color isn't as close to the white shade you used for his eyes.
- I would shift the highlights on the foreground bush to make them cooler (purple, blue, or blue-green) to help it recede instead of competing for attention.
- The two green bricks look a little out of place. Non-contiguous fill error?
Great work!
you changed his face a little bit, right? i think it's better. but the nose bugs me a bit. the shadow is very dark, and at 2x it looks like a dog snout or so. maybe the shadow just draws too much attention. i guess the nose is not so important for his recognition.
Oh man, I wanna play this right now.
That's why I don't like mock ups, lol.
{ You know what... I think the same about Marty! Do you think is it better now?
omg omg omg awesome!
love the cat and Doc's head. Marty looks a little bit too young i think. the environment is gorgeous!
Caramba, já terminou?
Gostei muito, mas achei aquela cratera (?) muuito estranha.
Ok wow, I'd LOVE to play that one. Very well done.
that would be a killer game.
really love your style man, this is definitly faved!
This is really great stuff. Looks like the real deal!
Adorei, fikou show.. bem legal o estilo que foi usado aqui! Quanto tempo hein.
I like it, very unique style used here..!
Como sempre, seus trabalhos são demais. Adorei o anti-alias que você fez no carro e no muro. Parabéns por mais um grande trabalho ;D
Até mais o/
It's nice to see you trying out a different style, successfully even!
It could easily be a point-and-click game!
