I'm glad you kept trying after the whiskers "trick" (it was not noticeable that it was a 4th color)
Suggestion: use the black for all outlines, then use the second darkest colour for AntiAliasing. In fact, even if you keep the black where it is now, you could still use some AA anyway.
Good angular view of the birds head. The black is somewhat seems useless too me though.
Nope, but I couldn't figure out anything else to add, be it whiskers or just marks.
The whiskers look out of place, looks much better without. Do birds even have whiskers?

Edit: Ok, added black whiskers, cause .. I couldn't figure out where else to put anything black. And together with the feathers on it's forehead I think it gives him a nice 'native' feeling.
Might be edited again.
Yes, this have just 3 colors, but I think isn't hard to add the other color. This is awesome ^^
