Created in DeluxePaint (on the Commodore Amiga) in the mid nineties, Apex third installment of the Utopia Slide Show never took off. This sweet babe was only one of the few images completed...
muito perfeito parabens cara você é um talento.
beautiful, loving the body its gorgeous!
this is gorgeous.... looks so real...
Epic bit of work there, mate. There's a subject that's never out of style.
@Oasis: I agree it looks a tad odd, but I also think he was right in doing that; some things that are anatomically correct look odd; simplified anatomy used in a lot of cartooning and such "rounds off" some anatomical subtleties like that.
Haven't read anyone compliment the pose yet... so good pick! The dual light sources add a lot of depth to this picture, centering the girl in the middle of the artistic stage. The contrast between the textures: luxurious hair, skin, leopard print, and the cloth on the ground creates a marvellous balance.
Thanks all for the compliments!
It's just ... WOW ! no words
Seriously though nice job. Very beautiful.
Quando eu crescer quero ser igual a você *-* i like it
Thanks Emil, It's good to meet some old friends from dA!
I must admit I use all kinds of reference material - sometimes bits, pieces and details from photos, pictures or my own doodles. Especially when I use a bigger pixel canvas I make a little rough pencil sketch (on paper) to 'preview' the endresult and get a good look of proportions / composition in advance. Furthermore I almost always add details later on to let it stand out a bit in some way (e.g. adding an alternate lightsource for instance).
That looks AWESOME! I love the hair
@Yair: You should worry more about your 'Freecause Toolbar'. You are spamming the forum.
Damnit Yair, I thought I was so careful... I hope my alien secret is safe with you? Please, please let me stay...
Thanks for your elaborate analysis Joseph, and I must say I agree on most parts (e.g. on the shadows). I've made this piece some time ago (errr... 15 years ago...) and I've learned some new tricks and have more insights now on light-n-shadows and anatomy.
I must say I enjoy the feedback I get on PJ, it helps you to grow even more as an artist. I do not know if I go back to this piece to re-edit it, but if I do I'll let you know!
Good stuff! What kind of reference did you use?
And welcome to pixeljoint! It's nice to see your stuff here too!
Yep, You are an alien. I'm sure about that now.
Shut up! That was so mean to say! The only complaint you should have against this that is that the USA government let extra terrestrials invade our planet!!! Can't you see he drew absulutely flawless?
You are not human! Please leave earth back to your planet! I got you now because a human being cant make something like that!

I find the transition between the alternate light sources in her bangs very distracting, and inadequate. At the very least there should be a shadow to the right of it on her forehead, with similar colors to the upper region of her upper arm. Her thumb seems independent of shadows, and/or the blue highlight. I think it'd should be similar to the forearm in the way you had the shadow of the natural light source integrate with the blue highlight. And lastly, I think that her hair could use more shadows.
With the lack of shadows from the chair/girl on the carpet, I'd say the pixel is better without it. The chair legs also seem independent of the blue highlight.
Sorry if this seems picky/rude, I just like things perfect. :/ I do understand that you probably won't edit this again.
Only thing I could say is the very back of her rear end looks a little flat. I know part of that is due to the natural curvature of the buttocks in that position but just wanted to let you know. Other than that. A+^10
The tiger print on the chair is insane, great job.
Dank je wel voor het compliment!
Yep, only 96 - I thought that would be enough
Meestal hou ik niet zo van arts met zo veel kleuren, maar dit is awesome O_O
Seriously only ninety six?
she looks a LOT like kelly clarkson! Which is awesome :P
Aways with your realism ^^
Great, I'll put this through now :)
Hi Jeremy, thanks for the welcome! The tag is in place (it was even fun to create ).
Hey Theo, welcome to PixelJoint :)
I've seen your work at dA, particularly at the #pixel-artists group. As A.B said on your Eyes in the Sky piece, PixelJoint is considered rather purist, and some artists who were active in the demoscene during the '90s haven't wanted to "conform", for lack of a better term, to PJ's particular parameters. None of that is directed at you in particular, just expect some criticism of things like colour counts (Your profile says you like the palette restrictions that PA offers, so that's great :D). As long as you're completely open about your methods everything should be cool.
WIP stages and references are always appreciated, though that can be problematic for stuff from the '90s :P I hope to see newer stuff from you too :)
ANYWAY, this is great, totally captures the pinup palette feel. Could you also please put a tag on the preview (preferably covering boobage :P) saying "nudity" or smething please?
Thanks for the compliment Wendy, and for the warm welcome!
Tht's very Beautiful
And WELCOME TO PJ =]
