interesting how different people view things. Seriously I think it's perfect as it is...
I have to agree with Manupix on this one, I get drawn into the corner and its bothering. Too loud..
Actually I find the hair as a nice framing piece in the corner. My eyes are drawn to the expression in his eyes.
It's not that it's not nice, it's a composition issue: it drives the eye outward to the corner without a counterpull to keep it in. It would be different if the hair wasn't cropped.
nah, the hair colors look great as does the whole piece. Nice work.
Hey, it's Tony Curtis! I watched lots of his movies growing up. Great to see him in pixels.
Yes, daring and efficient palette use! Great hand too.
I think the red and yellowish in the hair are distracting though. Keep them for the cigarette tip!
The cyan works surprisingly well in large areas :o Nice job, perhaps the light green could still be used to buffer the cyan and purple though.
I stick by the original color choice for the hair. But I can definitely understand how it could be distracting.
If I had it to do over, I might work the hair colors into the background as a pattern, as I find it kind of bland.
This might help balance the overall composition a little.
I really appreciate everyone's critique, I'm getting my pixeler's legs under me again after a long hiatus and it really helps.
