Nice perspective ! I agree, the white are a bit difficult to make out, perhaps could you also add some more shading.

And you've made one mistake: the right bottom square must be white ;)

Increase the size of the squares in the board, and darken the outlines of the pieces.

 The pieces have cool shapes, but the white pieces seem to be a little difficult to make out. Maybe you could darken their outlines?
