Based on monsters from Japanese folklore. 1. Kitsune (fox) 2. Tengu (crow goblin) 3. Oni (ogre) 4. Ookami (wolf) 5. Tanuki (raccoon dog) 6. Nekomata (two tailed cat) 7. Nue (japanese chimera) 8. Baku (dream eating elephant) 9. Kama itachi (scythe wielding weasel) 10. Kirin (chinese giraffe) 33 colors total, 31 if you don't count the blue and white for the numbers. I probably could have done less, but this is my 3rd finished pixel art ever. The final is a lot smaller than what I started out with since I downsized it along the way.

I mean: I have to look really carefully, really slowly to understand what is drawn. In other words, it's messy. It's just my opinion though.
