Kudos on the open area. May go against normal pixel art thinking but I've seen many awesome looking mockups that just had too much visual nfo onscreen at once. There is obviously a big difference between static aesthetics and "holy crap" speed. Guess it just depends on how true you are being to the mockup concept as more will probably win out over less around here most often.
I suppose those skeletons would be hard to kill with guns?
(No need to say how great this is right?)
Whoa, you rock! I love the color palette and the character design.
absolutely beautiful. art like this makes me want to start pixeling.
Damn, I was getting used to never playing those cool-ass mockups. Until you got to the soundtrack part, you bastard!
wouldn't a barbaric princess use a more barbaric firearm, like a combat shotgun for example?
I like how you pass from the grass through the mountain and finish with sky, because here they work very well together.
You have such a clean and smooth rendering style. It's very aesthetically pleasing. Darn you.
the preview really doesn't fit, and it looks like Sun-Tasy ;-)
I love the purple shades of the mountains. I love everything about the piece, as per usual, but those stand out. Your palette choice always seems so natural.
The necromancer looks like a great villain design. I like the way that instead of using a blacked out hooded face you've instead made it equally unclear in white.
Should there perhaps be some reflected light on the ground where the skeleton is getting up?
wow! love it! colors... characters shadows... nice details... fav!
Love it. My favorite part about most of your pieces, aside from your gorgeous color choices, smooth rendering, and almost-cartoonish-almost not style, is the way you generously favor the waist region of your female characters.
Absolutely love the sprites. I can really learn something from this. I think this is one of my all-time favs.
EDIT: Needs a better preview though.
wow amazing palette and mood this piece has :)
Nope, this isn't for the challenge. It's a third person shooter/beat-em-up like NAM-1975, Wild Guns, or the tunnel sequences in Contra.
...cuz, you can't judge art by the previews o.O
This isn't for weekly challenge, right?
This is really cool. I like your clouds and how your sprites contrast from the background because they're so crisp.
really nice mockup
