Maybe kind of overdithered, but it ends up having a stylistic rather than clumsy feel I think. It works well with the colors to create an odd and striking image.

 While a little rough in the dithering department (like you said), I really like the strong lighting effect you achieved. It's vibrant and fun to look at.

 Yeah it's a tad overdithered. And I don't think whatever you tried doing with the lightbulb worked .. I believe a solid colour would be better for it.
