Looks a bit darker than Cave Story typically is but the character looks pretty cool.
Judging from your gallery, you must love Cave Story, haha. :)

Cute char. Needs someone/something he says 'Hi' to or the place is empty.
The background and the character clashes, might be the unclean style and pillow shading used in the BG.
The weapon icons are pretty bad too, not very descriptive and contain extremely bright colors compared to the rest.
Character is nice tho, got that cute cavestory feel to it.
Looks more like Momodora.
