Very nice pixelling, and I like this guy of the new poke's, he may not fit totally to the pokemon style we fell for when it all came about, but as a creature it's pretty dang cool IMHO :D
Nicely done!
I definitely agree with the first generation pokemon designs being far better. The new ones are over-done and look too serious in my opinion. I guess I like the cute aspect of the old ones. Haha
Huh. Never noticed the trend before- then again I don't play pokemon much.
..Did they even make an actual centipede-mon? You know, one that crawls along the ground and looks vaguely threatening the way that, say, tentacruel does? You're right on retrospect- they skipped straight to this weird new centaur-centipede-thingy without actually making a real centipede.
Actually now that I think about it there's so many opportunities that Pokemon missed out on it boggles me.
Hah, I used to watch Digimon. After school, I'd come home, it would be on. There was something about that stupid show I liked. It was a decompression for me, from school I think. My dad always thought it was queer haha.
artistic? kinda. the newer designs have just gotten progressively more ridiculous as they strive to fill out the ranks (ice cream pokemon? 10 different pikachu-esque critters?). they're gotten worse than digimon ever was, and if they ever get close to a decent design they add all sorts of markings and accessories and extra stuff until the clutter ruins it. it used to be about animal-esque creatures in a world where there were pokemon instead of real animals, now anything goes so long as they can pump out 100 new designs.
Gamers prefers the early generations better, that's just overall preference
Actually I've been meaning to ask that. Is there an actual artistic reason to prefer the first few generations, or is it just nostalgia/an injoke among fans?
HAVE NO REGARDS FOR THEM. The most recent batch has ushered some of the coolest insects to the pool party.
heh, blastoise was made by delicious (unless you mean my vastly inferior animated blastoise), we get mixed up every now and then. style, schmile, so long as it's a pixelled pokemon it's fine. nice pixelwork btw.
Noooooooooo D:
Actually I'll probably do another one. This one doesn't fit you guys' style too well, and next time I'll grab Cure's golem and blastoise as references instead of doing it all from memory.
Well, pixelling 1-151 gives you 100 cool points, gold/silver pokemon are 75. I dunno who this guy is, but you still get 50 points for a post-gold/silver pocket monster.
Love it :D
