I decided to go for a more grey palette. I had quite a few problems with the pixel clusters, I'm out of practice. :/
I'd say about or over 20 colours, at a guess!
About 5-10 kilos, I think. I hadn't hit puberty at the time, either!
You lost a lot of weight since then huh?
thanks stickytape! i feel like i am constantly learning and improving!
there's a big surprise coming soon in my gallery ;)
You've grown very much since that first portrait on page one of your gallery. Keep up the learning, this is very well done!
Very good !
Thank you very much, all of you! :)
I'm afraid I didn't create WIPs, I only have 3 versions of the finished piece... I wanted to finish it in one go.
Mathias, thank you for that link, it's very helpful!
Jeremy, I wanted to leave the shirt plain as to not attract too much attention to it (and there weren't any strong highlights on the reference anyway)
Hi Chris I knew it was you immediatly
And it only has 17 colors, btw.
Love the use of reddish to bring out the fore most parts.
Very nice :D
I feel that there should be a specular highlight or two for shoulders/collarbones
A WIP would be nice
You have improved so much over time o.O
there are some 2x2 clusters that could probably be adjusted so they don't read like giant block pixels. great piece overall, very well-rendered.
Oh, sorry. Nice art =D
Good Christo. That's how you do.
Christoballs is quite talented, and a well-respected member of this community. This isn't a color reduction, nor will he ever submit one.
Since that's cleared up, this is an awesome piece. Your ability to capture all the details and make them read really well in such a confined canvas is quite amazing. Respect goes to you, sir.
Color Reduction? Or not.
