This is a seriously sexy palette, great colors... terrific design and concept as well.
That's great! I really agree with what Jetrel said, about the warm colors and cool colors.

I guess I'll have to come back to it for reference too... I guess I usually feel that if I'm not detailing every little bit I'm being lazy. But I suppose I should really give more thought to negative space and flat color in the future.
Your best by far. This has style, perspective and, something I feel is often missing from your works, clarity. I love the large stretches of flat colours that work so seemlessly together. Those flat colours contrast beautifully with the detail of the two animals, which is why this picture looks much more clear than your usual efforts. In others you tend to flood the whole picture, background included, with detail and it all gets lost and confused. No such trouble here. I like the memorable orange to blue palette too.
I'll come back to this pic for reference when doing my own stuff. Great work and keep it up.
I see what you did with the colors, there, mate. Looks great.
Also further cements my notion that the whole "warm colors come forward, cool colors recede" is complete BS. That yellow sky completely "recedes" into the background, even though it's extremely warm in comparison to the green rocks. That's been passed around as a piece of conventional wisdom in color-theory circles, and it's just always struck me as wrong.
I gotta say - your treatment of the grass there is brilliant, and I could really stand to learn from it. Namely, I mean how you're suggesting texture on an otherwise solid-color field with little snippets of highlit grass. It's precisely that sort of thing that makes simpler, flat-color styles (think minish cap) so difficult for me.
That's one hue shifty 8 color palette! All over the wheel.
Sweet tree,
I saw his sketches and I Could Tell That if you end up would b perfect
Lovely! Not sure if I like the colors or not though... The cool colors are beautiful, while the warm colors I dislike, specifically the brightess yellow and the color used dominantly on the grass.
Overall, really good stuff.
