I like it but I was wondering why the blood on the first zombies pants disappears for like 2 frames? As for the tracing, I agree that many people trace to learn techniques, but, I believe you should only do so to practice and then come up with an original animation of your own design. I don't think you should trace and then post it. I do like this piece. (The font in particular) Keep it up.
by tracing the basic zombie i was able to do the fat one without tracing which kinda bashed ur argument totally :). And i dont usually trace animations, this is one exeption cus i failed to make my own attempts to succeed, and it made me frustrated. Besides when im looking at your animations here, you are actually lacking even more design and creativity than me lol. just go somewhere else trolling dude, i take critique well but flaming is something i cant stand.
i'm pretty sure tracing over is not going to teach anything at all. not even mirroing. thats just a cheap excuse to not solve your problem using your own methods.
certainly you can get clues on how to solve a certain scenario by actually studying several sources and then proceed to add every bit of useful info you can mlik of them into your own work, but what does leave you if you just simply trace over the original or simply mimic it.
look at your current PJ avatar for example. lacking something you could trace for it to use it as a base, it does nothing but expose how bad (or limited, your choice) your concept of animation is right now. your skills solely based on it are subpar with what is shown here.
if you can prove this taugh you anything about animation and tracing the original(and conveniently not providing a mention to the original source), then i'm pretty sure you's re going to be able to put said knowledge to an equally elaborated animation right after this. otherwise you're better not doing anything at all.
so you think its wrong when ur trying to get better in animating by learning that way?
I must say it is quite obvious that you "used" my zombie animation for these walks. It's a good way to develop as an artist, but I think I'd feel better if you gave me some credit in the description.
Try to make one with the arms streched out! That's more like the "classic" zombie walk.

Or maybe something like this:

The fat zombie kinda reminds me of winnie the pooh in the way he walks.. He looks so.. "alive"! :P
Heh, kinda reminds me of one of my zombie walks! :o
thanks for both of u for the effort of giving golden feedback! i will tweak the zombies and the game to the perfection!
It is great still can't wait for the game, also, they look a bit too casual, in fact i thing the fat one's the only one that doesn't look like a person with blood on them, rather than a zombie, the waists stay still as if held up, and they don't slump over enough, they should look like there brain dead, these guys look like slow bloody people, although i do like how the fat one's stomache jiggles, it's very lifelike, make the torso bump more on the stepping frames for the first three, and add a slump to the torso, you should take examples from the zombies in Plants VS Zombies, they have some good examples for zombies.
The first 3 could do with dropping their hips more in their walks, shoulder/chest drops might help too. For the fatty, he looks wayy too light on his feet, the frame after plopping a foot is when the weight of the belly, head drop and such should take place, it would really help give the sense of weight hes holding. More zombie-like arm poses too, like arms held out or paralytically at a side etc would help, they look too casual. Hope you tweak it some more :) looking forward to it :D
Perhaps some of the walks could be a bit more staggering? Good thing about animating zombies is that it doesn't have to be so smooth :D
i guess my "trolling" was defeated then.
