Real, real cute and well done.
I think the top half of the feather is great but perhaps the base of the feather should have a shorter swing (within the top helmet line only) as it seems to move as much as the tip but the face doesn't swing that much. Perhaps that's what bothers you.
The arm swing is really jaggy. When the arm is swinging towards the camera it does a pretty big jump that looks really odd. Try smoothing that out and you should be good! The feather looks a tad odd as you said, but I think it works somehwat!

@Papermoon: 8 frames wooo! Not sure why, but all my walk cycles end up being 8 frames.
