I did add shading to the third guy's hair, the final one was rushed, because i wanted three and not two...

 hmmm now that I think of them as dolls, I can totally understand.  Perhaps it would be very easy to give a more doll like illusion; maybe shifting the outlines to a brown and outlining two pixels thick?  And I feel the third guy's hair needs shading :)

I like them the way they are.

It gives them a lifeless feel, like dolls. Plus i don't feel like it.

They aren't there because of my utter inability to pixel small faces coupled with my short temper artistic vision.
